Nickelback – Gotta Be Somebody [OFFICIAL VIDEO] Okay, I’m not usually one for this, but this song has been on my playlist for years now, it being one of my favs. This morning on the way to work, it struck me as fitting for Gentle Rain Scott – least in the quiet moments. I’m the eldest in my family, and I have to say that I’m a little competitive (I suspect Scott would be much more so) and if I was a guy and I had a younger brother who was happily getting married before I even had a girlfriend, I would likely have some personal, secret concerns such as those in this song. Eldest does things first, the younger ones aren’t supposed to catch up and leave you in the dust (even though they do, there is often little logic in emotion). The music video makes very little sense and this is the first time I’ve seen it, but listen to the lyrics and imagine. Perhaps a bit of a theme song.
