Happy New Year everyone! May your new year be wonderful and full of Thunderbirds đ Nutty (With many more edges to learn to fly from)
Monthly Archives: December 2018
âGoddamnit, Virgil, strap yourself in!â âIf I donât fix this, we are both dead.â Virgil had his head inside Thunderbird Twoâs control panel while Scott desperately tried to keep them level, ever so low over thick forest. They had lost both VTOL and main thruster control thanks to yet another Fischler invention. The little mobile solar collector had been attracted to TB2âs rear thrusters and had shown that attraction by flying into one, despite Virgilâs desperate manoeuvres. The resultant explosion had taken out not only that thruster, but interfered with its partner. The electrical shock had travelled through her circuitry and disabled VTOL control in the process. The only reason they were still airborne was because Virgil knew his own âbird so well, he had been able to get her into a glide long enough to dig into her circuitry and slap together some partial control. They were going down in any case. It was just a matter of how badly. Scott felt the controls wallow in the lightest of crosswinds, the missing roar of his brotherâs bird as bad as a missing heartbeat. There was a muffled expletive, a yelp, and suddenly VTOL roared to life. But only the […]
akireyta: copperbadge: mangy-mongrel: concerningwolves: concerningwolves: I feel like fandom generations are both very specific and easily conflated. This one is for @vegetacide for her prompt âPopcorn and a movie…â This was supposed to be much more lighthearted, but Virg just didnât feel that way. That is probably because this is Sotto Voce sometime after âThe Priceâ. I hope you enjoy this little ficlet. ::hugs you:: It was the top of the world. Or the bottom. It depended upon your perspective. In any case, it was time off, a treehouse, five brothers, one sister and an AI in the middle of a rainforest. Virgil stood on the balcony and stared out at the sea of trees. In the very far distance he could just see a hint of the Pacific Ocean, but other than that smudge on the horizon, it was tropical rainforest horizon to horizon. The last of the Daintree. The Treehouse, with a capital T, was extremely isolated and a very privileged place to visit. Of course, money to the Tracy boys was just a means to an end, and this end was something they all needed so much. Of course, it was really only a Treehouse in name. It could more readily be described as a penthouse minus the lower floors. A tree did branch up through […]
tagsecretsanta: Thank you Nutty for filling in last minute with this wonderful piece, both I and Emma truly appreciate it! As always, Secret Santa does not own this piece, full credit goes to the author mentioned above! Title: Happy New Year A TAG Secret Santa fic Author: Gumnut 27 – 30 Dec 2018 Fandom: Thunderbirds Are Go 2015/ Thunderbirds TOS Rating: Teen Summary: Not the average new yearâs eve. Word count: 3439 Spoilers & warnings: Timeline: Standalone My prompt was: How the Tracy family celebrate Christmas and new year Authorâs note: Okay, this fic is a little weird and Iâm not sure it answers the prompt, but it is what happened when I started typing. I hope you enjoy it anyway. And I hope you all have a fantastic new year đ Disclaimer: Mine? Youâve got to be kidding. Money? Donât have any, donât bother. -o-o-o- TenâŚthe match caught and flickered in the breeze. She caught it, wrapping it with her hands, nursing it to the candle, and letting out a breath as flared into life. Module Four hit the surface of the North Pacific Ocean and immediately started rolling in the swell. Thunderbird Twoâs heavy-duty spotlights tracked it as […]
A little Warm Rain and an argument. Virgil/Kayo I prompted myself (and will now go and look at the lovely prompts on my previous post ::rubs hands together eagerly:: ) with this photo This started in one place and ended up in completely another. She came out here sometimes to pretend to read. She came with alcohol and she came with anger. The second story of their private villa was built purely for the view. large windows opened to their bedroom and a large stone balcony paralleled the horizon, only the sea between the two. She came out here to be angry. The reasons varied, but each time she would sit silent and work through the cause of that anger. The alternative was violence and that was not a solution. She loved Virgil. She loved him with everything she had. But he was not perfect. She was not perfect. So the balcony, though not often, was used to manage those angry moments. Today it was a decision in the field. He had chosen to protect her. She didnât need protection. They had been attending a rescue in one of those few remaining countries with a strong patriarchal influence, where women were […]
I dare you to prompt me! Ignoring all my current works-in-progress and tell me what you would like me to write tonight đ Thunderbirds fandom only đ And I canât guarantee anything, but prompt away anyway đ Nutty(there was an edge, but I found it boring and jumped off it :D)

the-lady-razorsharp: It was her job, thought Ruth, to keep the kids out of trouble. Sheâd managed it all these years, and truth to tell, sometimes she forgot that they were all grown now. Force of habit, she supposed. âWhereâs Kayo?â She asked Gordon. The aquanaut looked up from his half-empty plate of warmed-over spaghetti and fixed her with a weary gaze. âUm, she went to bed.â âNo, sheâs not in her room.â âOh.â Gordon shoveled in a forkful of noodles. âI dunno, she just said she was going to bed.â Ruth glanced around, noticing that there was one other absent face. âWhereâs Virgil?â Gordon chased a mouthful of garlic cheese bread with a long swallow of iced tea. âSame. Bed.â Experience told her the two coincidences were related, so she marched herself up to her middle grandsonsâ room, intent on her duty as a grandmother. She listened for a moment at the door (no use embarrassing them) before pushing it open, her indignation at their behavior locked and loaded. When she was in the room, however, the words died away, and she stood looking down at her two young charges. Yes, they were sleeping. Yes, they were sleeping together. Yes, […]
mod2amaryllis: to everyone whoâs ever said something kind about my work: you help me get through the day. thank you. This!
brittyevans: fuukonomiko: Because I certainly do, and I love every single one of them and their work. They put me into shame .. they inspire me to write .. even if itâs a piece a shit I donât reblog much, but what the hell, you guys are one of the reasons this fandom so wonderful ::hugs all of you:: Nutty (Who couldnât write without you)
From âThe Hexpertâ. I love this scene, Virgil the engineer and specialist, followed by a great Scott and Virg moment. I donât own these screenshots, Iâm just sharing the joy.
Random ficlet Because I got prompted with the words âpower cutâ. May stay this way, may grow into a bigger fic at some point. Gordon yelled as the sky lit up. âVirgil!â There was no answer. That would be too easy. The arc of electricity left images on his retinas, blinding him momentarily, and the sudden silence was ominous. âVirgil!â He dashed through the open gates of the power station, following the footsteps in the snow, deep due to the weight the exo-suit on his brotherâs body. âThunderbird Five, do you have him?â Johnâs voice was tense. âNo, too much interference. His comms are down.â Damn. Not good. The aquanaut dashed amongst giant transformers. Nothing was humming. All was quiet. A single spark cracked off to his right. Gordon dashed around the corner and came face to face with the stuff of nightmares. Virgil hung limp from his suit, its claws wrapped around the cable that had sent life to the city. The power was cut. No doubt many lives had been saved. But Virgil… Gordon ran. -o-o-o- TBC?
the-lady-razorsharp: âYouâre looking festive tonight.â Keep reading Oh dear, oh dear. V/K does not fit very well in TOS at all. ::wails just a little:: Sorry Alan. As usual, brilliantly written. The tension in the air is, oh god, and your descriptions, beautiful. Nice, Virg, nice đ Thank you so much for writing, Lady R đ
the-lady-razorsharp: âJust feel, John.â Keep reading Wow. @the-lady-razorsharp Just wow. So three dimensional, so six sensorial, so just wow. Feel the moment. ::hugs::
Knitting Completely random, but for @scribbles97 A little Christmas with a dash of Gordon/Penelope that just happened. Gordon looked up. âWhat are you doing, Virgil?â âIâm knitting a reindeer.â His brother blinked and held up two fingers. âTwo things….a reindeer….and you knit?â Virgil frowned. âOf course, I knit. Mom taught me and I do it every year.â âKnit reindeers?â âNo, knit. Are you blind? Who do you think knitted the jumper youâre wearing?â Gordon stared down in vague horror at the palm trees knitted into his Christmas sweater. âYou did this???â âYears ago. Who did you think made it?â âGrandma?â Virgil glared at his brother. âWay to go to fall for the stereotype, Gordo. Just because she is a grandmother, doesnât mean she knits, and just why do you think me knitting is so out of character?â âWell, look at you. Big, buff and tough?â Another glare. âSo that precludes me from working with yarn, how?â âUm…â And yes, that out-of-his-depth-oh-shit-Virgil-is-going-to-kill-me expression on Gordonâs face was quite satisfying. âExactly.â Virgil stitched a few more stitches. âYou definitely need to up your observation skills. I have been doing this every Christmas since before Mom died.â It had become a tradition. Partly […]
photowizard17: tagsecretsanta: to @photowizard17 Secret Santa does not own any of the following work, full credit goes to the creator described above! Authorâs note: Okay, so this is the first time Iâve ever participated in one of these so Iâm new to this. My prompts were 1. Virgil covered in tinsel 2. Tracy family Christmas 3. Christmas Rescue Miracle (with Virg please) The first one prompted all sorts of images not suitable for a PG audience, so you never know what might happen between now and Christmas đ Hubby also suggested I blow up a tinsel factory, so that is always a possibility too đ Overall, I did attempt to include all three prompts in the one fic. I hope I have succeeded in providing some enjoyment at least. Many thanks to @i-am-chidorixblossom for cheering me on when I couldnât post daily and obsessively like I usually do, and to @the-lady-razorsharp for giving it an American beta so I donât trip over being Australian (though the summer Christmas certainly helped :D). Disclaimer: Mine? Youâve got to be kidding. Money? Donât have any, donât bother. -o-o-o- âItâs the last house at the end of the street, Virgil.â âFAB, Thunderbird Five.â It […]
