From here. Spotting the Harley in a backlot in the backend of Santa Maria had been a fluke. They had been called out to assist with the landing of a troubled jet at the local airport. Using a combination of Thunderbird Two’s grunt power and a pair of elevator cars, they had caught the ship and prevented any loss of life. The fact they actually found themselves at an airport, somewhere they could actually park in safety, Scott had called for lunch and the four brothers had grabbed a taxi and gone out to explore the eateries of the area. Virgil had demanded they stop three blocks out. She was a beauty. Emerald green and chrome. Pristine. And oh my god she had to be his. Scott had smirked. Gordon had poked fun. Alan stood next to him with similar stars in his eyes and for a moment Virgil thought he would have to fight him for it. Fortunately, the green won him the war. And for once his IR uniform had worked to his advantage. The owner obviously loved the machine as much as Virgil, but the IR symbol had him handing it over for a good price. Virgil […]

I’m hitting the road tomorrow with my camera 😀 This means an influx of photos of landscapes, birds, wildflowers and general Australian scenery. This Nutty Tumblr, @gumnut-logic , was started a few months back and is the home of all my fan fiction. However, I have another Tumblr, @lizpowley, much older, which is linked into my art blog and Instagram accounts – this is where you will find my photography, art and jewellery. So, if you would like to see some photos of my exploits 500kms southeast of my normal position, I would love it if you would follow @lizpowley and I really hope you enjoy the stream 😀 Alternatively, you can find me on facebook.com/lizpowley or instagram.com/gumnutinspired if you prefer those other platforms – be aware that these have no fan fiction, only art, photography and jewellery 😀 And they have been somewhat neglected while I have been writing over here 😀 I may post a couple of photos here, but the main drive of this blog is fan fiction and I don’t want to bug those of you who are here for the exploits of Virgil and his brothers 😀 I will also be writing mobile with my […]
Virgil Tracy was a sensual man. As an artist he had to be. His senses connected him to the world around him, sensitive to the subtleties of the air, the colour, the emotion on the wind. They both grounded and supported him. But Virgil was also a Tracy. There was something in the Tracy genetic structure that called to speed. And from time to time he indulged that need. And let it roar. The light turned green and Virgil let off the clutch, slipping the bike into gear and leaving rubber on the pavement. Behind him Kayo let out a whoop, and he grinned in glee. The olden but golden Harley throbbed beneath him and tore up asphalt, white lines blurring into one as he accelerated. Sun shone off her chromework, sparkling with each move of the bars. The speedometer continued to climb. As wind tore at his jacket and the arms around his waist tightened, he found himself laughing out loud at the pure sensory high.
lenle-g: Because Virgil got off so lightly… Keep reading ::loves this:: Poor Virg. Wonderful Scott. Thank you so much for sharing your talents.
Title: LaunchPart Seven of Il MagoSequel to Sotto VoceAuthor: Gumnut30 Sep – 5 Oct 2018Fandom: Thunderbirds Are Go 2015/ Thunderbirds TOSRating: TeenSummary: “How can we trust him, if we don’t even know he is Virgil?”Word count: 4783Spoilers & warnings: Spoilers for Season 2 and Sotto Voce. Author’s note: And here we are at the end. I so hope you have enjoyed reading this. Thank you so much for all your wonderful support ::hugs you all::Disclaimer: Mine? You’ve got to be kidding. Money? Don’t have any, don’t bother. -o-o-o- The worst part of any illness could be the waiting. Or it could be the not-knowing. Or the illness itself. Or the pain. Or, what the hell, the whole thing sucked. Scott made it back to Earth with Alan and John about an hour after Virgil’s last transmission to find Virgil still on life support. He had gone into cardiac arrest yet again when that alarm had shrieked during their conversation. John took one look at his unconscious brother, briefly touched his hand, but said nothing. He then locked himself in a room with Eos. Alan cleaned himself up from the mission, but postponed repairs on Thunderbird Three – she needed several, particularly […]
I watched the 1960′s movie ‘Thunderbirds Are Go’ today for the first time. The last scene, gotta love it for the above ::giggles a little insanely:: Scott, you are definitely working those glasses 😀 Nutty(off the edge, and giggling all the way down :D) These images do not belong to me, I’m just sharing the joy.
::ponders:: should I attempt Whumptober? I know I’ll fail miserably as I’m far too me to keep up, but maybe a couple of fics might appear? ::ponders more and goes looking for the challenge list:: Nutty(really good at failing long term challenges) Well, for Number One – I’ve already stabbed him this year, I can’t really do it again, so for any of you who haven’t read it, here be Sotto Voce, a total Virgil whumpfest. Sometimes the rescue itself wasn’t the hardest part. In fact, that was often the easiest. Focussed, pumped full of adrenalin, it happened, he didn’t think he just did. There was a goal and he tunnel-visioned until he achieved it. Sometimes it was afterwards, when all that adrenalin was spent, when the aches and pains demanded attention, when his body just wanted sleep, that were the worst. Because no matter the rescue, there was always cleanup, whether it was successful or not. Today was a mixture of both. They’d saved the children, but lost the parents and it just tore at him. It tore at all of them. The sound of rushing water was the continual reminder. He wanted nothing more than to escape this […]
Sometime after my previous post…and completely @vegetacide ‘s fault. -o-o-o- Gordon stepped into the comms room with no small amount of relief. He and Alan had been called out yet again, and though he would never admit it to his older brother, taking Thunderbird Two out without Virgil was hard. Not only because he missed his brother, that was a given, but because the team was compromised. Alan was a great team mate, his performance was flawless. He just wasn’t Virgil. It was like a piece of the puzzle was missing and they couldn’t make it up. Of course, they still saved people, their record was exemplary, but it was just that touch harder, less like clockwork, more like hard work. The sound of the piano was dancing through the room and Gordon took the moment to stand and simply listen. Admittedly, he was no connoisseur of classical music, but this was his brother, and just like Virgil had room in his life for Gordon’s swimming, Gordon had an appreciation of his brother’s music. Today it was a familiar tune. A very familiar tune. Huh? Virgil started singing ever so softly…”A, B, C, D, E, F, G…” What the-? “H, […]
From the tail end of Made for Heavy Lifting -o-o-o- “Virgil!” That voice, that sharp, crap, what the hell had he done? He dropped the barbel. It wasn’t out of guilt. No, it wasn’t. Yes, it was. Kayo was charging towards him across the gym. The glare on her face was enough to strip off a layer of skin. Goose-pimples radiated out across his chest, sweat cooling now he had stopped moving, his diaphragm still heaving from his exertions. “What the hell do you think you are doing?!” Momentarily stuck on the decision of whether speaking or not speaking would be the less death-causing option, he didn’t respond fast enough and defaulted to the latter. “Do you have any idea what it was like to watch you tumble from that train?” His eyes widened. Again his speech function failed to boot. God, her eyes were gorgeous. “You were lucky you weren’t killed! Your brother and I had to pick you off the road. I thought…” She swallowed. “Why are you pushing so hard? Do you want to relapse? Do you want to put us through more worry and pain?” “Uh.” She stalked up into his personal space and shoved a […]
Title: Made for Heavy LiftingWarm Rain SeriesAuthor: Numnut3 Oct 2018Fandom: Thunderbirds Are Go 2015/ Thunderbirds TOSRating: TeenSummary: Virgil Tracy was made for heavy lifting. Word count: 809Spoilers & warnings: Virgil/Kayo Author’s note: This one was asked for by @diamondinshadow in response to some lovely artwork by @photowizard17 – https://diamondinshadow.tumblr.com/post/169112473972/canon-shirtless-virgil-lifting-bar-weights Occurs some time after ‘Sharing the Scenery’. My muse being what it is, wandered off a little weirdly, and at 3am, no less, but I hope you all enjoy it anyway 😀 Thank you all for your kind and wonderful support of my scribblings ::hugs::Disclaimer: Mine? You’ve got to be kidding. Money? Don’t have any, don’t bother. -o-o-o- Virgil Tracy was made for heavy lifting. He had been known to say it on occasion and he had certainly proved it on many others. Hell, she’d heard Gordon say his brother was built like a ‘brick shithouse’, but that was Gordon, and Gordon had issues. Regardless of external opinion, Virgil was the physical powerhouse of International Rescue, both physically and mentally. It was a known fact. But it had never been displayed so blatantly to Kayo until this moment. She was dressed in loose sweats, standing in the doorway of the gym. Virgil was […]
The weather here in Adelaide right now is very loud. Nutty not a fan of storms….though they are fascinating…yes, my illogic battles my scientific interest at all times. Image belongs to the Australian Bureau of Meteorology – BOM See where it says ‘Brighton’ on the coast just below the red swath? I was just north of there this afternoon taking the picture in the previous post. The blue sea in this picture is St Vincent’s Gulf.
A change coming in over St Vincent’s Gulf today. This is our nearest beach (about 3 miles from our house). Summer is coming! ::is all excited:;
So, so totally love this ‘breathtaking’ scene from Inferno. This is a fabulous ep for Virgil. I do not own this image, I’m just sharing the joy.
As Il Mago comes to a close (I haven’t finished writing yet and I suspect I will need to rewrite some of what I have written), I thought I would ask all you wonderful peoples what kind of fic you might like me to write next. I can’t guarantee anything, my muse is vagrant and pretty much does whatever it wants to do and completely ignores what I want (though I am getting more commanding in my old age :D). And then there is the issue of characters doing what they want ::eyes Virgil:: But I am interested in what you would actually like to read in the Thunderbirds fandom (I think with my brain in this fandom at the moment, I doubt you’ll get much else out of me, and if you do, I’m liable to fall out of TB fandom and into another one, and then my TB writing will stop 🙁 it happens) So anyway, would you like more adventure, hurt/comfort, whump, romance, humour (very hard to write on demand, but I love it when it works), more piano, arty Virgil, another brother, another ship, Virgil/Kayo, more explosions, less explosions, sexy times, Tracy Island on fire, space, […]
